The North/South Coalition (Idégruppen Nord/Sør) is an independent and informal Norwegian network of concerned scholars. The aim of the network is to promote and stimulate debate on north/south and globalisation issues. Research based knowledge and new strategies for enhancing the relationship between North and South is at the centre of our activities.

The North/South Coalition does not aim at simplefying a complex reality. Through open discussions, seminars and conferences the network seeks rather to highlight complexities. We seek to be critical but constructive, and we seek to give room to a multiplicity of voices in order to provide a bigger picture.
